Honoring Local Empowerers at Keys to Empowerment

​We're thrilled to announce that at our Keys to Empowerment Event on June 1st at the Ponus Yacht Club, we'll be honoring two Local Empowerers - Lana Gifas and Sgt Adriana Molina. Ready to Empower is dedicated to empowering women globally, and these two incredible women have made invaluable contributions to empowering women in the Fairfield community. 

Meet Lana Gifas, Lana is the Executive Director of Women’s Mentoring Network, a nonprofit located in Stamford, CT, focused on economic empowerment of women and their families, providing support services that focus on finding better employment and educational opportunities. Lana is a Local Empowerer whose work helps lead the way for women to become empowered economically by providing skills and employment and educational opportunities to help women empower themselves. Lana makes things happen and creates solutions for change. 

Meet Sgt. Adriana Molina, Sgt Adriana is sergeant with the Stamford Police Department, becoming the first Hispanic female sergeant in the history of the Department. She earned this position because she believes in the importance of community engagement and is committed to fostering trust and inclusivity. She actively worked alongside the Hispanic community, ultimately earning the esteemed position of liaison officer between the Stamford Police Department and the Hispanic community. Adriana is a Local Empowerer who has sparked a ripple effect of change by overseeing the Behavioral Health Unit within the Stamford Police Department. Alongside her team, she tirelessly advocates for and provides ongoing emergency mental health support for her community.In addition she has won several prestige awards including Officer of the Year award from her peers in 2015, "Cruising Stamford Award" in 2023 and Citizen of the Year in 2024. Sgt. Adriana emulates empowerment with her commitment to making a meaningful impact in her community. Adriana is a great example of putting passion into action! Adriana is READY!
