Ready to Empower Awarded City of Norwalk Impact Mini-Grant to Expand Mental Wellness Programming

NORWALK, Conn. – June 25, 2026 – Ready to Empower™ is proud to announce it has been awarded a 2026 Impact Mini-Grant from the City of Norwalk in the amount of $9,500 to support the expansion of its Ready EmpowerED™ mental wellness program.

The grant will help bring expert-led mental health and wellbeing programming to educators, parents, students and local organizations throughout Norwalk. Through workshops, professional development opportunities, and practical wellness strategies, Ready EmpowerED equips participants with tools to build resilience, manage stress, and promote positive mental health in their personal and professional lives.

"We are honored to receive this support from the City of Norwalk," said Amanda Ready, LMHC, LPC, Founder and President of Ready to Empower. "This grant represents an important investment in the well-being of our community and validates the growing need for accessible, high-quality mental health education and support. We are excited to expand our impact and work alongside Norwalk educators, families, and community leaders."

Ready EmpowerED was created to provide practical, evidence-informed mental wellness education delivered by licensed mental health professionals and subject-matter experts. Programs are designed to strengthen individual well-being while helping organizations create healthier, more resilient communities.

Funding from the Impact Mini-Grant is expected to support programming that will reach approximately 250 Norwalk residents over the grant period. Participants will gain practical tools and strategies to strengthen mental wellness, build resilience, and support healthy communities.

The award marks an exciting milestone for Ready EmpowerED and reflects the City of Norwalk's commitment to supporting innovative programs that enhance the quality of life for local residents.

"Thank you for the work your organization does to provide essential services to uplift the lives of Norwalk residents," wrote Keenan McMahon, Human Services Director for the City of Norwalk, in the grant award notification.
