​The Paint to Empower Fundraiser was a great success. Thanks to all the amazing donors and volunteers, the event helped raise the necessary funds to help continue our empowering work to women in need. RTE is very pleased to announce a decision that On Sept 24, 2020 the Ready to Empower board of directors selected Oliva Skiffington as our newest Vice President.

Oliva has served on RTE’s board since 2018 and has been an ongoing donor and volunteer since 2015. During her time on the board, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to RTE’s mission and values. Oliva is a native Costa Rican and cares deeply about the Costa Rican community and women’s empowerment.

​Karen Jara, the director of Arbol De Esperanza completed her business administration course. Karen continues to develop her skills each year to help empower herself and the lives of others.

​We support local entrepreneurship in Costa Rica by helping women to develop business and marketing skills in our empowerment programs! One of our participants has been using her talents to empower herself! She has started her own entrepreneurship venture by making corn dough for biscuits, empanadas, tortillas, tamales and more to provide for her family. She is selling to small stores, restaurants and businesses! She is ready to work!!!

​Exciting news! Check out these graduates who just completed our virtual Empowerment programs In Costa Rica! Even during the pandemic, women are being empowered!​

Our sister organization Árbol de Esperanza was featured in their local newspaper in Costa Rica for their empowering work in the community. The NGO has been working around the clock helping to meet the needs of the community during this complex time! They have been working diligently to collect food donations and supplies to help support women, children and families.

​Dina Montefuscoli hosted the Gucci Ballerina Virtual Artist Showcase to help raise funds to support the mission of Ready to Empower. Ready to Empower was honored to have her amazing support.

​Sewing is one of the many job courses that RTE offers to help women find jobs and or start their own business. Women are learning to sew to help provide for themselves and their family.

​Virtual Empowerment programs are officially being offered during the pandemic in Costa Rica. RTE and the team in Costa Rica have been working around the clock to make the Empower Programs virtual to continue offering support to those in need during the pandemic.

​Ready to Empower’s help during the pandemic. RTE’s sister organization ADE has been delivering donations of food and other supplies to the community of San Ramon, Costa Rica.

Education is empowerment! Women in Costa Rica are empowering themselves by learning sign language. Sign language is our newest addition to the elective classes being offered to women in the Empowerment Programs.

​Ready to Empower is excited to announce funding of the sexual and reproductive rights workshop classes being offered through ADE our sister organization in Costa Rica to help women empower themselves through education.

​Ready to Empower is excited about the new internships being offered at local bakeries in Costa Rica! Women are getting opportunities to learn hands-on skills to help them build their resume and improve their overall skills sets for future employment opportunities.​

​Ready to Empower is excited to announce the incorporation of manicure classes for participants in our Empowerment Program. Our sister organization ADE is facilitating classes to teach women to become nail techs!

​Ready to Empower’s empowering cooking and baking classes are helping women to learn trades to work towards their goals of becoming self-reliant!
