RTE’s 2022 Empowerment Campaign was a huge success!
Ready to Empower’s Empowerment Campaign was a huge success in 2022! Thanks to our amazing donors and volunteers, RTE was able to surpass our fundraising goals. With this amazing support, RTE is able to expand its reach to helping in improving the lives of women in India and Costa Rica in 2023!
New partnership in 2022 – Hope’s Sewing Center
Ready to Empower has exciting news, we have partnered with Hope Sewing Center (HSC) in Karnataka, South India to help carry out the mission of empowerment to women.
RTE works closely with HSC by offering RTE’s Empowerment Program to help equip the leaders of the organizations and the women in their communities. In the upcoming year, we will little by little start offering more services such as; mental health, life skills, human rights and more job training education. Together, we are working to help women empower themselves!

Our board and committee members are a power house of support. Their leadership, heart and expertise is truly the driving force behind all that we do. This team is READY!

Last weekend we held an exclusive “Bet to Empower” online poker tournament for our donors. Thank you to all that participated and congratulations to our winners. We raised a good amount for our programs and had a lot of fun doing it! Be on the lookout for our Empower Campaign this fall.

Charity Shop reopens in Costa Rica!
Exciting news! Our partner organization ADE in Costa Rica reopened the charity shop to help support women in need and women needing employment. ADE will be taking orders starting today in Costa Rica and all food is prepared by the women in our empowerment programs.

Women earned certificates of completion for attending the Empowerment Program.
Helping women empower themselves!
The women in Costa Rica are learning new skills attending the job training classes to help them achieve their goals of becoming self-reliant! Our sister organization ADE works around the clock to offer empowering services to women living in vulnerable populations.

So thankful for RTE’s newest Vice President Olivia Skiffington! She flew to Costa Rica to deliver donations to the women in the Empowerment Programs. A short but powerful trip to Costa Rica to help support so many women in need!

Paint to Empower was a success!
The Paint to Empower Fundraiser was a great success. Thanks to all the amazing donors and volunteers, the event helped raise the necessary funds to help continue our empowering work to women in need. Our new vice president: Oliva Skiffington!
RTE is very pleased to announce a decision that On Sept 24, 2020 the Ready to Empower board of directors selected Oliva Skiffington as our newest Vice President.
Oliva has served on RTE’s board since 2018 and has been an ongoing donor and volunteer since 2015. During her time on the board, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to RTE’s mission and values. Oliva is a native Costa Rican and cares deeply about the Costa Rican community and women’s empowerment.
Karen Jara completes her business administration course!
Karen Jara, the director of Arbol De Esperanza completed her business administration course. Karen continues to develop her skills each year to help empower herself and the lives of others.
An empowered entrepreneur!
We support local entrepreneurship in Costa Rica by helping women to develop business and marketing skills in our empowerment programs! One of our participants has been using her talents to empower herself! She has started her own entrepreneurship venture by making corn dough for biscuits, empanadas, tortillas, tamales and more to provide for her family. She is selling to small stores, restaurants and businesses! She is ready to work!!!
